Slab technique: It consists of spreading sheets of clay with a roller or tool and joining them to create structured shapes.
It is used to make parts with flat walls and geometric shapes, such as boxes or plates.Pinch technique: The clay is molded with the fingers, pinching it to shape small pieces manually.
It is ideal for beginners in ceramics, as it allows direct and intuitive control over the shape of the piece.Coil technique: Elongated cylinders of clay are created that are stacked and joined to form larger, organic pieces.
It is very versatile and allows you to make free shapes or large structures without the need for molds.Glazes and engobes: engobes are mixtures of liquid clay with pigments for decoration, and glazes create a vitrified layer after firing.
They are used to give color, textures and resistant finishes to ceramic pieces.
