Claude Monet (1840-1926), of French origin, is undoubtedly the most relevant figure of the Impressionist movement. A pictorial style that innovated in its search for color and light as perceived by the eye. This way of painting, however, was not understood by the academics of the time. Despite living the first few years of poverty together with his family, he soon had a good number of artists who followed his example. Little by little, he received the recognition he deserved, finally being able to live a pleasant last few years of his life.
